Our school takes place in the centre of Eskisehir, a modern city in Anatolia. The population of our city is 600,000. Although our school is in the middle of the city, it consistently gets migration because of the new residential areas. Most of the parents are immigrants, coming from small villages of the city. A great deal of the parents of our students work at temporary jobs, also the educational and economical levels of the parents are low in general.

          Our aim to take part in this project is to make each student have equal rights improving the democratic culture in our school, and especially to include immigrant students of our school into this atmosphere. It is important for our pupils to develop attitudes of tolerance through an understanding of democracy and democratic school. Linked with this, it is important for our pupils to understand that democracy is representative. Another goal is to help students get education from a democratic school and express their ideas feely to contribute the democratic improvement of society.

          We will be a partner and we will also take part in all project visits (hosting or attending) and contribute fully to developing of website and monitoring of electronic communication among partners and of course, to the planning monitoring and evaluation of the project at all stages.
